June 1, 2012 (Friday): An International Shakuhachi Concert (featuring performers from all parts of the world) to be held at the Kyoto Art Centre;
June 2, 2012 (Saturday): Meiryu Concert (featuring musicians from the various shakuhachi schools together on the same stage) to be held at the Kyoto Prefectural Center for Arts and Culture;
June 3, 2012 (Sunday): Shakuhachi Masters’ Concert (featuring world-class shakuhachi virtuosi) to be held at ALTI (Art Living Theater International);
• The 114th Shakuhachi Honkyoku Senkoku Kenso Taikai to be held at Myoan-ji (a sub-temple within the Tofukuji Temple complex). This “concert” is an act of reverent homage to the Fuke-shu and komuso tradition. Please attend (but do not applaud).
June 4, 2012 (Monday): A Second International Concert to be held at the Kyoto Art Centre.
• Shakuhachi Workshops: instruction for beginning and advanced players alike to be held throughout the weekend.
